Xavi & Hansi Flick exchange public messages after meeting in Barcelona | OneFootball

Barcelona’s managers past and present on Friday met for the first time, in Catalunya’s capital.

Hansi Flick, of course, took up the reins in the Barcelona dugout this past summer, following the dismissal of Xavi Hernández from the same role.

The latter’s exit marked a highly controversial one, with Xavi having been sent on his way just weeks on from seeing his continuity for the 2024/25 campaign confirmed.

Whilst some degree of tension, in turn, is understood to remain between the Camp Nou brass and their ex-tactician, Xavi evidently bears no ill will towards the man to have replaced him on the Blaugrana bench.

This comes amid the revelation that the Spaniard and Hansi Flick came together for a one-on-one meeting earlier today.

The get-together, one of a casual nature, took place in Barcelona, after being organised by the two managers themselves.

A photo of the pair can be seen below, with Xavi having accompanied as much on social media with the message ‘Good luck Hansi and visca el Barca’.

Flick, meanwhile, soon responded, writing ‘Pleasure to meet you’.
