Bukayo Saka delivered a masterclass performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 Champions League win over Monaco.

The 23-year-old scored twice and assisted a third, guiding Arsenal to the brink of a knockout stage spot.

Saka’s first goal showcased his instinctive finishing, capitalising on precise work from Myles Lewis-Skelly, who was making his Champions League debut.

His second came late in the game, punishing a sloppy pass from Monaco’s goalkeeper, Radoslaw Majecki, to put the result beyond doubt.

Saka’s drive set up Kai Havertz, whose deflected effort sealed an emphatic victory a few minutes later.

The numbers behind Saka’s season highlight his meteoric rise. With nine goals and 12 assists in 21 matches across all competitions, he is on track for a career-best campaign.

Only Mohamed Salah has contributed to more goals among Premier League players this season.

Saka tallied 20 goals and 14 assists last term, and his trajectory shows no sign of slowing down.

His Champions League statistics are equally impressive. Since debuting in Europe as a 17-year-old in 2018, he has become a dominant force in the competition.

He has been involved in 14 Champions League goals since last season, a tally surpassed only by Harry Kane, Vinicius Jr and Antoine Griezmann.

Saka’s contributions extend beyond his statistics. His connection with Arsenal’s academy products was evident when he celebrated with Lewis-Skelly after the teenager’s role in the opening goal.

“I never thought he would reach these levels,” Henry said. “His evolution from a wing-back to a decisive attacker is remarkable.”

With two group matches remaining, Arsenal look poised to secure a top-eight finish, avoiding a two-legged play-off. For Saka, the sky seems to be the limit.
