Rogers put the ball inside an empty net after an aerial clash between Juventus keeper Di Gregorio and Diego Carlos.
Di Gregorio had come out of the sticks to claim the ball; Diego Carlos tried to win the aerial duel but collided with the Juventus keeper, who, therefore, failed to retain the ball.
Referee Jesús Gil Manzano initially gave the goal to Villa, but it was disallowed after a quick VAR check that didn’t even require a pitchside review.
