According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich believe they have a plethora of options when it comes to replacing Harry Kane over the next few weeks.
As previously reported, the England captain will be sidelined with injury for the coming weeks after sustaining a small muscle tear against Borussia Dortmund on matchday twelve.
As it stands, it is currently unknown whether Kane will feature for Der Rekordmeister again before the end of the year; however, Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, has already ruled out signing a replacement for the striker in the January transfer window.
“Harry is a very special player with an incredible goal rate. But we won’t be able to afford to sign a second Harry Kane; that wouldn’t be healthy for the squad either.”
Therefore, the record champions will look to call upon Thomas Müller, Mathys Tel, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala in their hunt for goals while Kane remains out of the squad.
While there is also hope that Serge Gnabry will be able to aid Vincent Kompany’s side before the start of the Winterpause, there is doubt surrounding the 29-year-old’s availability after he missed Der Klassiker with a knee problem.
