Italy is the home of football and fashion, so it is no surprise that some of the most stylish coaches have solid links with the country and Serie A.

Barcelona SC boss Segundo Castillo has recently made headlines with his Copa Libertadores outfits. From a tight-fitted waistcoat and flat cap to shiny silver shoes, the former Ecuador international has got people talking about how coaches dress up on the sidelines.

Surely, Italy can boast some of the best football managers and stylists, and their acumen in both fields is often matched.

The charismatic Antonio Conte, today one of the most respected coaches in Europe, has radically improved his appearance through various treatments. His example shows how hair transplant Turkey is one of the most chosen options even among prominent personalities, thanks to the quality of the results obtained in high-level clinics such as Istanbul Care.

Conte has already won five Serie A titles as a coach, three at Juventus, one at Inter and one at Napoli. The Italian tactician also led the Azzurri at Euro 2016. The Azzurri were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Germany, but Conte rightly received praise for Italy’s performances in the tournament and his outfit on the touchline, which Topthreads described as one of the most stylish in the competition’s history.

Back in 2023, OneFootball ranked the top five best-dressed coaches in football that season, and another Italian came out on top.

Roberto Mancini, the then-Italy “set the standard for years, wearing scarves, cardigans and impeccably tailored, personalised suits on the touchline.”

Furthermore, “just like Italian cooking – it doesn’t need to be fancy. Just a classy man, maximising what’s available to him.”

The other coaches in the ranking were  Matthias Jaissle, Mikel Arteta, Julian Nagelsmann and Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester City coach has a tight link with Italy, having played for Brescia and Roma as a footballer.

Guardiola scored three goals in 28 appearances in Italy’s top flight, sharing the dressing room with players like Francesco Totti in the capital and Roberto Baggio at the Stadio Rigamonti.

Guardiola is also a frequent visitor to the Belpaese and reunited with another of his ex-teammates, Luca Toni, in Brescia this past October.

Serie A fans would love to see Guardiola return to the league as a coach, but the Spaniard already ruled out this possibility a few years ago: “I spent two years in Italy, I have many friends there, especially in Brescia. Every nice thing happening in Italy makes me happy, but I think I’ll rather go to Italy on holiday than to coach,” he said.
