Although it is yet to be made official, Pablo Torre is now on the verge of completing a permanent move to RCD Mallorca.
Barcelona are expected to earn around €5 million from this transfer, which gives the club a much-needed financial boost during the summer window.
Torre originally joined Barcelona from Racing Santander in 2022 for a fixed fee of €5 million. The initial deal also included several performance-based add-ons that could have taken the total value beyond €20 million. However, most of those conditions were never met.
So far, Barcelona have only paid an extra €1 million to Racing, which came into effect this season.
According to the agreement between the two clubs, Racing would receive €1 million for every 10 official matches Torre played for Barcelona’s first team, provided he featured for at least 45 minutes in each of those games.
The cap was set at 14 payments, meaning the total possible add-ons could have reached €14 million, but Torre never came close to that number of appearances.

With Torre now set to join Mallorca, Barcelona will receive the full €5 million transfer fee.
Importantly, as reported by SPORT, the final clause between Barcelona and Racing specified that the latter would only earn a percentage of any future sale if Barcelona made a profit.
Since the Catalan club will not be making a profit on this transfer, they are not required to share any of the amount with Racing.
However, the situation could change if Mallorca decide to sell Torre in the future. As part of the new agreement, Barcelona will retain 50% of the player’s rights.
So, if Mallorca sell him for more than €5 million down the line, Barcelona will receive half of the profit, while also triggering a clause that may benefit Racing if a profit is generated.
