West Ham United have turned down the chance to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to the Guardian.
West Ham want a goalie on loan as summer signing Mads Hermansen has failed to impress since joining the London Stadium club from Leicester City.
Onana is out of favour at Man United after head coach Ruben Amorim started the campaign with Altay Bayindir in goal, and he was offered to the Hammers.
However, West Ham said no to a deal as the Cameroon international is not an upgrade on their current options in goal despite playing 50 games last season.
The 29-year-old made his first appearance of 2025-26 against League Two club Grimsby Town on Wednesday night, but he did not cover himself in glory as the Red Devils were dumped out.
Man United found themselves 2-0 down heading into half-time, with Onana failing to deal with the cross which led to the second goal.
He also made just one save as the Old Trafford club lost 12-11 on penalties, and West Ham are smart to have rejected the chance to sign him.
The Hammers have been linked with Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur in recent hours, with concrete talks reportedly ongoing to sign the Croatian.
West Ham have also reportedly reignited interest in Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor after reaching an agreement in principle to sign him in the summer.
Hermansen has conceded eight league goals in two appearances for the Hammers, including three from corners against Chelsea last weekend.
West Ham manager Graham Potter opted to play Alphonse Areola in goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, but the Frenchman did little to impress in the 3-2 defeat.
The Hammers need a top goalie if they are to boost their chances of staying up this term, and Pandur could be the man for the job if a deal can be struck for the Hull star.
