West Ham United sealed a stunning 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
The Hammers were low on confidence after losing three of their previous four league matches.
However, West Ham produced an excellent display to come away with all three points from North London.
Arsenal dominated possession but failed to score due to the Irons’ resolute defending. Then in the 44th minute, Jarrod Bowen nodded home the decisive goal.
There was no discernible improvement from the Gunners after the break, as West Ham held on to secure a narrow win that has put them 13 points above the relegation zone.
Bowen scored the winner but in our view, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the top performer for Graham Potter’s side.
The 27-year-old set up the England international with a brilliant cross. He was solid defensively and a real threat going forward.
Wan-Bissaka had 48 touches in the match, completing 20 of his 25 passes. He registered six clearances, won nine of his 14 total duels and recorded two key passes.
The right-back also completed 100% of his crosses and created a big chance.
He has been excellent for the Hammers, starting 24 Premier League matches and scoring two goals.
Fans will hope the defender continues his superb form over the coming weeks as West Ham aim to create further gap with the drop zone.
