Roony Bardghji Clears Up His Name’s Pronunciation

Since his name is not very common in Spanish football, many fans have been wondering how to pronounce it correctly. In a recent interview with the club’s official media channel, as reported by SPORT, Bardghji took the opportunity to clarify the matter himself.

He explained that his first name, Roony, is pronounced “RONI” and his last name, Bardghji, is pronounced “BARDADJI.” SPORT has transcribed it phonetically as /βarðáʤi/.

While his name might take some getting used to, his football certainly does not. Bardghji has already made a strong impression during Barcelona’s preseason tour, quickly adapting to the team and showcasing the talent that earned him a place in the squad.

Roony Bardghji is already standing out both on and off the pitch. With his confident performances and engaging personality, he looks set to become a fan favorite at Camp Nou.
