The names of Barca summer signings Olmo and Víctor of course returned to the forefront of the headlines across Spain late on Wednesday.

This came after word was forthcoming that Barcelona had at last been given the green light to, for the time being at least, register the attacking duo.

The news was met with a combination of excitement and relief on the part of those of a Blaugrana persuasion, eager to see Olmo in particular back on the pitch as soon as possible.

The Barca faithful, though, were far from the only ones left thrilled by the CSD’s decision…

As alluded to above, so too was Joan Laporta.

Under mounting pressure from rival groups amid the registration saga over the last couple of weeks, the Catalans’ president could not help but allow his emotions to show after receiving word of the club’s success, shouting and smiling from ear-to-ear:
