AC Milan will have another body to call upon this weekend, and for the first time, it can be Warren Bondo’s debut, an unexpected piece of news.
As early as this afternoon, a debut seemed a week away, however, things have changed very quickly in the past few hours. Initially, the midfielder had partaken in group training, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued individually, but there is now a further update.
Reporting for Milan News, Antonio Vitiello writes that the Frenchman will be available for selection this weekend against Hellas. If he enters the pitch, he will be the last of the January additions to make his debut.
Youssouf Fofana especially will be very pleased to hear the news, given he has played a ridiculous amount of minutes recently and with Bondo arriving as his ‘deputy’, fans will hope to see the new man in action whilst allowing his compatriot a slight rest.
Considering reports suggested that he would have to wait until next weekend for an opportunity, Sergio Conceicao cannot rush him into things, but it is certainly very positive news on the eve of the Verona game.
The Bondo entourage believed that the ‘marriage’ was a moment that had been building for years, so the debut would also be years in the making, even if it has only taken less than two weeks officially.
