Now Vinicius Jr. has joined the bandwagon, posting an emotional tribute to the versatile star, who has been at Real Madrid almost all his life.

“My brother Lucas, Thank you for every moment together, for every word, for every smile and every detail with me,” Vinicius wrote in a long Instagram post.

Ever since I arrived, you’ve been a big brother, always loving to my family and friends. always supporting, on and off the field,” he added.

During his time at the Bernabeu, Lucas has played in exactly 400 competitive matches for Real Madrid.

Although he won’t go down as one of the best players in history, the Spaniard’s versatility and committment to the club have made him a real asset over the years.

Vinicius, to that end, shares a close bond with Lucas, who had played a key role of a mentor ever since he joined Los Blancos.

Extending his gratitude towards Lucas, Vinicius talked about the time they spent together during their time at the Bernabeu.

“I’m going to really miss our laughs, our conversations and everything we shared in these years at Real Madrid.

Your humility and hard work brought you this far. I wish you the best in this new phase, because I know you are still a champion and above all a great person,” he wrote.

“See you soon, Luquitaaaaa. I love you so much my brother,” he concluded.
