Vincenzo Italiano previews Roma-Bologna: “We’ll have to be aggressive.”

Bologna manager Vincenzo Italiano spoke to reporters on the eve of the first Serie A matchday of the season vs Roma.

The Italian technician discussed facing Gian Piero Gasperini’s new team.

“They have a new coach, so it will take time and patience, like it did for me last year,” he said when asked about Gasperini’s side.

“However, we’ll be facing a team with great value and quality, fueled by a fantastic stadium. Against Gasperini, we’ve always played games with great pace and intensity.”

“We’ll have to try to be as aggressive as possible to hurt him, and we’ll have to keep our nerve at the back because they’ll come from all sides. I expect a good match, man-for-man: that’s what we’ve prepared to try to be ready.”
