La Liga outfit Villarreal are on the verge of tying up a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Lyon star Georges Mikautadze as the player primed to take his talents to La Ceràmica.

Villarreal are of course fresh off bidding farewell to a leading member of the club’s frontline just this week.

After Yeremy Pino was identified as the ideal replacement for Eberechi Eze by Crystal Palace, the Premier League side quickly snapped up the Spanish international.

As much left a further hole in Marcelino’s squad, just days out from the transfer window slamming shut.

Fans of the Yellow Submarine, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours.
