Villareal want Dovbyk on loan

With just days to go until the start of the new season, the future of Artem Dovbyk remains an unknown quantity for Roma.

The Ukrainian striker is no longer part of Gasperini’s central plans and could leave the club if a profitable offer is received.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Villarreal remain interested in the player, determined to conclude their transfer window with a significant attacking reinforcement.

The main difficulty, however, lies in the deal’s formula: Villareal have already spent over €70 million this season and are aiming for a loan, a solution not currently being considered by Roma.
