Venezia Sporting Director Filippo Antonelli says that Inter Milan owned goalkeeper Filip Stankovic will be out for around two and a half months with a knee injury.
Speaking in a press conference, via FCInterNews, he also thanked Inter for allowing goalkeeper Andrei Radu to join the Lagunari.
At the moment, Inter-owned keeper Filip Stankovic is on the sidelines with an injury.
The young Serb suffered a knee injury during a match against Udinese last weekend.
That comes as a major blow for both Stankovic and Venezia.
The 22-year-old had been enjoying an outstanding season prior to his injury setback. His saves have been vital in Venezia picking up quite a few points already.
Stankovic has also given an impressive account of himself in the biggest matches.
The Inter-owned keeper produced a string of excellent stops in matches against his parent club, even as the Nerazzurri won both encounters by a 1-0 scoreline.
Stankovic also saved a penalty from former Inter striker Romelu Lukaku in a match against Napoli.
Losing Filip Stankovic is certainly not an ideal situation for Venezia.
The Venetian club signed goalkeeper Andrei Radu as an emergency option to cope with the 22-year-old’s absence.

It remains to be seen, however, whether Radu can truly fill the void that Stankovic has left.
As far as how long the wait will be for Stankovic to return, Venezia Sporting Director Antonelli said “optimistically, two and a half months.”
“Ten days more or less makes little difference,” he added.
“Stankovic and Pohjanpalo [the Finnish striker left to join Palermo] were two unexpected events for us,” Antonelli said.
“We signed Radu to replace Stankovic,” said the Venezia executive.
Antonelli said that “I have to thank Inter, because we signed Radu to cover for an emergency with Stankovic.”
