Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera has made clear to those in a position of power at the club that his intention is to take his talents to England with Arsenal this summer.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has over the last 24 hours provided a fresh update on the situation.

The name of defender Mosquera has of course proven a prominent one in the headlines across Spain and England alike over recent weeks.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 21-year-old had been earmarked as a leading transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Arsenal.

Mosquera is for his part fresh off another fine season at the heart of Valencia’s backline in 2024/25.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms at Mestalla in 12 months’ time, a number of clubs are in turn understood to be sniffing around his signature.

It is the aforementioned Arsenal, though, who have been most persistent in their pursuit.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media early this week is anything to go by, then the player himself appears to have set his sights firmly on a Gunners switch.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Christian Mosquera has been clear with Valencia: he wants to join Arsenal. The agreement on personal terms has been done and sealed for weeks, new round of talks next week to get the deal done. No chance for Mosquera to sign new deal at Valencia.’
