While January camp may just be for the domestically-based United States players, those who have received the call-up have not disappointed.

Diego Luna and Brian Gutiérrez were buzzing around striker Brian White in the opening 30 minutes, and the deadlock was broken as a result of their connection.

Just minutes after seemingly breaking his nose and requiring major treatment on the touchline, Luna picked out White in behind and the Whitecaps man fired home with aplomb.

Zach Steffen made a pair of acrobatic saves as Costa Rica looked to equalize, but the visitors were undone in the final 15 minutes when Montréal youngster Caden Clark fired home a rocket from the edge of the box to double the U.S. lead.

It went from good to great for the U.S. as rising starlet Patrick Agyemang came off the bench in the second-half to send a belter of a shot into the roof of the net to put the icing on the cake for the home side.

That makes it two wins from two friendlies in this January camp for the United States after beating Venezuela over the weekend.

Next up for the Stars and Stripes is the Nations League semi-final against Panama.
