Under-fire Barcelona star to reject transfer to fight for his place next season | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen is ready to rebuff any and all offers for his services this summer, to stay put and battle for a starting berth.

That’s according to journalist Helena Condis of COPE, who has on Monday provided an update on the situation.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen’s future has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes amid the understanding that Espanyol standout Joan García’s arrival at Barcelona could push the club’s long-time no.1 out the exit door.

A whole host of clubs from across the continent have in turn been credited with an interest in Ter Stegen, chief among them Galatasaray.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain is anything to go by, then the German is ready to stand firm in his desire to stay put at Barcelona.

As per a report from Helena Condis:

‘Ter Stegen has no intention of making any further statements at the moment. He believes he has already made clear his desire to stay. He’s on vacation. It’s false that he has an agreement with Galatasaray or Monaco. He believes he could be Barça’s starting goalkeeper next season.’
