Unai Emery is open to a reunion with Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson at Aston Villa.

Emery worked with Jackson at former club Villarreal and is monitoring his situation at Chelsea. Jackson’s future at the club is in doubt, following the summer arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro at Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa want to sign a second striker this summer, having failed to replace Jhon Duran following his move to Al-Nassr in January.

Villa brought in Marcus Rashford on loan in the winter window but opted against signing the Manchester United forward on a permanent basis.

Jackson is now a player being considered, according to talkSPORT. Manchester United and AC Milan are also assessing a deal for the Senegalese striker but are yet to submit a formal approach.

Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Jackson but will consider suitable offers for the 24-year-old, who has scored 30 goals in 81 games for the West Londoners since arriving in 2023.

Chelsea retain an interest in Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, though the latter is not likely to be involved in any potential negotiation. Villa consider the England international ‘untouchable’ this summer.
