Inter have been attached to a few Udinese players ahead of the summer window, but the Friuliani won’t be a wholesale store in the next few months. Director Gianluca Nani spoke to Sky and DAZN before the meeting between the two sides (via SOSFanta). He was quizzed about the Nerazzurri being keen on Jaka Bijol, Lorenzo Lucca, and Oumar Solet.

“Just them? I expected them to like more of our footballers. They are all very good, and fortunately they aren’t their only suitors; otherwise, it’ll be a difficult transfer market session for us. They are excellent contributors who are having a great season. It’s always positive when a team of their caliber take an interest.”

Nani singled out Solet, who shone on Sunday, scoring from distance after a brilliant solo action.

“He’s doing very well, never skipping a game or a practice. I’d be worried if Inter didn’t ask for him, but Udinese don’t need to sell. We’d like to keep him. Then, if an important side that offers large wages to the player and a big fee to us comes forward, we’ll allow some departures. It’s essential to find the find the right replacements.”

While the Udinese exec opened the door on doing business with Inter in some cases, he ruled out the departure of Arthur Atta.

“He’s too valuable. He’s young and has a lot more to prove, so he’s not yet somebody are going to propose on the market. We count on him a lot, he has great personality, and we’re happy with him. He has to stay grounded and keep growing the right way.”
