Two Barcelona youngsters host end-of-season meal for Xavi’s squad | OneFootball

Two up-and-coming members of the first-team squad at La Liga giants Barcelona this week organised a team meal, to bid farewell to the season.

As per a report from Diario Sport, Pau Cubarsí and Héctor Fort were the pair in question, hosting and paying for an informal get together.

The meal took place following Barcelona’s training session on Thursday, with the club’s players and coaching staff alike having been in attendance.

This includes head coach Xavi, whose future beyond Sunday’s season finale against Sevilla of course remains up in the air at present.

The sit-down also represented something of a celebration on the part of Cubarsí and Fort alike.

This comes with the former having recently put pen to paper on a new long-term contract, and defensive partner Fort set to follow suit in short order.

Sport add that the party ‘had the aroma of a farewell’, with several leading members of Barcelona’s ranks likely to be moved on over the course of the upcoming summer.

A goodbye to a season which all associated with the Blaugrana will no doubt be keen to forget as soon as possible…
