The medical staff at La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday been forced to sweat.
This comes after two members of Hansi Flick’s squad picked up fitness problems whilst lining out on the international front.
Both came during the same outing, Spain’s first group stage fixture at the U21 European Championships, against Slovakia.
First forced off was Gerard Martín, who is understood to have suffered a wrist/hand injury inside the game’s opening exchanges.
After battling through to half-time, the left-back was ultimately hooked from proceedings at half-time.
And following Martín off not long later was Barcelona teammate Pablo Torre.
Youngster Torre was also in from the off against Slovakia, from his customary berth in attacking midfield.
After falling awkwardly early in the 2nd-half, however, the 22-year-old remained grounded, before too being forced to limp off.
It remains to be seen whether either player is in line for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
