HOUSTON – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued with Trinidad and Tobago drawing 1-1 with Haiti in Group D on Thursday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Haiti went down to ten in the 39’ when Jean-Kévin Duverne received a red card.
Frantzdy Pierrot struck in the 49’ to open the scoring, and place Haiti in front, with a right-footed shot past Marvin Phillip. Louicius Don Deedson provided the assist from the edge of the penalty area.
Trinidad and Tobago found the equalizer in the 68’ thanks to a header in the box by Justin Garcia, connecting on a free kick service from Kevin Molino.
A penalty attempt in the 86’ gave the Soca Warriors a chance to take the three points but Mondy Prunier placed the ball above the crossbar.
The two nations earned their first point of the campaign. Group D action will resume on Sunday with simultaneous encounters. Trinidad and Tobago will face Saudi Arabia at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Haiti will meet the United States at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
