Newly-unveiled Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed that he has already spoken to another of the club’s headline summer signings about their prospects together.

Thursday, of course, marked ‘Trent Alexander-Arnold day’ in Spain’s capital.

After the 26-year-old put pen to paper on terms with Real Madrid late last month, the long-running saga surrounding his name was finally put to bed.

And this morning, those of a Blancos persuasion were afforded a first chance to see Alexander-Arnold donning their side’s famed colours.

The England international soon take his place in front of the expectant media, too, to field his first round of questions as a Real Madrid player.

During as much, Alexander-Arnold was asked whether he has yet been welcomed by his new teammates.

And the right-back made use of the question to confirm:

“I spoke to Dean Huijsen. I saw him during the holidays.”

Summer signings TAA and Huijsen will now both be expected to play leading roles for their new club at the fast-approaching FIFA Club World Cup.
