Amadou Diawara's stint with Eldense was short-lived. The Guinean midfielder was released by his Spanish club after spending just four months with the team.

Now a free agent, the 28-year-old defensive midfielder has reached an agreement with CD Leganés and is expected to sign with the club in the coming hours.

The native of Conakry will thus play in the Spanish second division next season, hoping to revive his career after his promising spells with Bologna, Napoli, and AS Roma were halted.

Amadou Diawara has represented the Syli National 43 times and was once considered one of the best players in his country.
