Premier League Interest In Two Young LFC Stars

On a recent Transfer Show podcast, Dave Davis and Trev Downey returned from holidays to an explosive Liverpool transfer window. Podcast listeners were greeted with vivid imagery as Trev described: “We come back with a bang. Mr Davis, it is Dave Davis. I am Trev Downey.” The tone set expectations for big developments around Liverpool, Harvey Elliott, West Ham, Tyler Morton.

Dave revelled in the significance of the window, saying: “We’ve had five players or whatever … there’s still things happening big time.” He went on: “We are going out there like Louis Theroux says, walking around with our willies out and absolutely just showing the world what it is to be champions and to strengthen from a position of strength.” That quote underlines Liverpool’s bold intent from this podcast discussion.

Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton linked with West Ham

Turning to senior squad youth, Dave addressed recent links: “Last Liverpool‑related story has got to do with Harvey Elliot and Tyler Morton.” He stated: “Both of whom were linked with moves to West Ham and those moves were obviously supposed to be transfers, not loans.” Dave added: “It seems as if West Ham have either gotten cold feet or starting to muck about a bit.” On Elliot he said: “If West Ham are going to prick around and start talking about loaning Harvey Elliott, then he needs to look elsewhere.” Trev echoed: “He says he loves everything about the club. He wants to stay here but he has to think about his career.”

Regarding Morton: “Graeme Potter has already spoken to Tyler Morton as well … he loves him and they Liverpool were expecting a bid for that.” He summarised: “They’d shown that real keenness … now they’re talking about a loan with an option. Liverpool are not too impressed with West Ham.” It’s clear Liverpool expect more than hesitation around transfers.
