Premier League giants eye major deals as the window heats up
Transfer news LIVE!
Arsenal look to have been handed a late January transfer boost with Benjamin Sesko said to have already picked the club over Chelsea or Manchester United. The Gunners are still being heavily linked with Matheus Cunha as they seek a new striker before the deadline, while Arsenal are also now said to have opened talks over a deal for midfield starlet Sverre Nypan but face a battle with Manchester City.
There is rumoured to be confidence that Chelsea will sign Alejandro Garnacho this month, with discussions already held with Manchester United over a shock swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku heading to Old Trafford. Chelsea could also pursue another new goalkeeper in Zion Suzuki, while United have made a fresh bid for left-back Patrick Dorgu at Lecce.
Tottenham and West Ham have been linked with Brian Brobbey as they both seek new additions in the next week, with Liverpool having their eye on Rayan Cherki and Manchester City potentially looking at another Ederson and Douglas Luiz having bid farewell to Kyle Walker. The path looks clear for West Ham to sign Brian Brobbey.
The Dutch international forward has apparently been offered to the Hammers by Ajax, who will only accept a permanent transfer this month or at least an obligation to buy in the summer rather than a straight loan deal.
It remains to be seen if West Ham will be willing to commit to that, though it seems that Tottenham will not battle their London rivals for Brobbey.
Standard Sport understands that he is not a player currently on Spurs’ transfer radar amid reports of their interest on Friday.

Enzo Maresca has said Robert Sanchez will remain Chelsea’s No1 for the remainder of the season.
However, will the Blues boss change his mind following yet another costly mistake from the goalkeeper in today’s 3-1 loss to Manchester City?
Well, this is what Maresca has said: “I’m not thinking about the seasons coming. I’m thinking about this season.
“For this season? No doubt. But then in the future, we don't know. It is not only about Robert. It is not even about me, you know? I’m focused on this moment, this season. Since we started, Robert is getting better, but he is still far from where I want him to be.”

Major development, potentially, in the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Yesterday we brought reports that Real Madrid are beginning to accept that Alexander-Arnold will stay at Liverpool in this window after seeing a bid rejected.
However, Marca claim that an agreement between Madrid and the English international is well advanced, and is expected to be finalised in the summer.
Of course, Alexander-Arnold's contract at Liverpool expires in the summer which means he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside of England.

Marcus Rashford is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to join Barcelona before the transfer deadline.
The Camp Nou is believed to be the England forward’s favoured next destination as he seeks a fresh challenge away from Manchester United in the January window.
An Old Trafford exit for Rashford has yet to materialise despite rumoured interest from clubs in the Premier League, across Europe and in the Middle East, with suggestions that he is holding on to see if Barca can make a deal work financially.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 27-year-old is willing to lower his salary in order to help a loan switch materialise.
Other Spanish reports claim that Jose Mourinho could yet hold the key for Rashford’s move to Barcelona, with Fenerbahce trying to sign Ansu Fati.
