In a recent report, talkSPORT mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur would have to rival Arsenal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. It has been claimed that Spurs are keeping a keen eye on the English playmaker but are facing competition from their North London rivals in pursuit of him.
Eze had a decent campaign at the London club as he was responsible for putting in a lot of impressive performances for them in Premier League football. The 26-year-old played in 43 matches for the Eagles last season, scoring 14 goals and grabbing 11 assists across multiple competitions.
The London-born talent did well to average 3.48 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he only kept 27% of his shots on target. The English talent distributed possession relatively well based on his pass success rate of 74.2% in the English top flight (stats via fbref.com).
Eze’s current contract at Selhurst Park will expire in the summer of 2027 which will make it tough for Spurs to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Eze can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates to score. He is a good dribbler with the ball as well and can chip in by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team.
The English sensation mainly functions as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He is quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.
Eze would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.
At 26, Eze is about to enter his prime which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to consider this summer. He would be well worth the fight, so Tottenham should focus on stepping up their efforts to sign him ahead of the new campaign.
