Tottenham Hotspur appear to be reigniting their interest in Fiorentina's young talent Michael Kayode.
The 20-year-old right-back has been on Spurs’ radar for some time, but earlier attempts to secure his signature hit a stumbling block.
With January approaching, Tottenham’s defensive options could see a shake-up, and Kayode’s name is back in the mix.

The north London club is reportedly seeking to bolster its squad, particularly in defence, as speculation grows around potential outgoings.
According to Firenze Viola, circumstances have shifted, with Fiorentina now willing to consider offers of around €15 million in January—half the original valuation.
This revised price could make Kayode an attractive proposition for Spurs. The Italian club's willingness to negotiate reflects a changing strategy, potentially influenced by their squad dynamics or financial needs.
Kayode, a promising figure in Serie A, could fit the bill. His dynamic style and versatility seem well-suited for a Premier League side eager to build for the future.
The question now is whether Tottenham will finally seal the deal. With reports suggesting a significant change in the transfer landscape, the timing could hardly be better.
Kayode was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham during the summer transfer window. Fiorentina, however, demanded a steep €30 million, a price deemed too high by Spurs at the time.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly considering taking advantage of the opportunity to strengthen their defensive depth.
If signed, Kayode would likely start as an understudy to Pedro Porro, the current first-choice right-back.
Porro’s name has been linked with Real Madrid in recent months, sparking concerns about his future at the club. Should Porro depart, Kayode could step into the role long-term.
At just 20 years old, Kayode represents a blend of potential and polish. His performances in Serie A have caught the attention of scouts across Europe, with many praising his speed, ball control, and ability to contribute defensively and offensively.
Joining a Premier League side like Tottenham would offer Kayode a platform to develop further. Regular exposure to English football, coupled with top-tier coaching, could accelerate his growth.
Spurs, too, stand to benefit from nurturing a player who could secure their defensive line for years to come.
All eyes will be on whether Tottenham makes their move. With Fiorentina now open to negotiations, the path is clearer than ever for Spurs to land one of Serie A’s rising stars.
