Torino thought they had agreed all the details to sell midfielder Ivan Ilic to Spartak Moscow, but the situation is increasingly in doubt.
The deal had effectively been done to complete the sale for a total cost of €22m, which would be a big profit considering he had been purchased from Hellas Verona for €17m in January 2023.
The details were expected to be a fee of €16m plus another €6m in various bonuses and add-ons.
However, time drags on and there has still not been a completed transfer, even after reports Ilic already underwent his medical tests.

Now Spartak Moscow coach Dejan Stankovic has cast huge doubt over whether the move will go through at all.
“I don’t think that Ilic will arrive,” he told the club’s official channels, via Calciomercato.com.
“We have several names on our lists from the scouts, including Ilic, and the transfer market is still open, but I don’t think he will come. We’ll see what happens.”
The Serbia international turns 24 next month and made 13 competitive appearances for Torino so far this season, contributing one goal and one assist between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
