Partey/@arsenal
Several players have reached the end of their contracts as of June 30, 2025, and are now free agents.
Let’s take a closer look at the top five African players currently without a club.
Thomas Partey
After five seasons of loyal service, the Ghanaian international (51 caps, 14 goals) was not offered a new deal by Arsenal.
He is being monitored by Atlético Madrid, Juventus, FC Barcelona, as well as by clubs from Turkey, MLS, and the Gulf region.
Chancel Mbemba
The Congolese defender was sidelined by Roberto De Zerbi throughout the season, making his departure from OM entirely logical. The 30-year-old leaves Marseille after three seasons.
Eric Bailly
Villarreal have confirmed the departure of the Ivorian defender, who saw limited action this season (just 12 La Liga appearances).
Abdoulaye Doucouré
Despite a strong season with Everton (4 goals and 2 assists in 36 matches), the Malian has not been offered an extension and is now seeking a new challenge.
Adam Ounas
After just one season at Al-Sadd, the Algerian winger is on the move again, hoping to reignite a career that has stalled in recent years.
