Saturday, September 6, 2025 will see Celtic Legends host Manchester United Legends in Celtic FC Foundation’s next Legends Charity Match, supported by Dafabet, and a host of familiar faces have already been confirmed for the Bhoys.
The match will see the return of a number of Celtic greats to Paradise, with Joe Hart, Artur Boruc, Gary Hooper, Efe Ambrose, Charlie Mulgrew and Shaun Maloney already announced.
Among those also set to pull on the Hoops again for the first time, will be fans’ favourite, Tom Rogic.
Supporters will no doubt be excited at the prospect of the Wizard of Oz once again gracing the Celtic Park pitch with his unmistakable elegance.
But Tom is equally excited to be coming back for the match and we caught up with him ahead of his return.
Tom Rogic said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Glasgow for the Legends Charity Match.
'I haven’t been back since I left the Club, so the opportunity to return and play at Celtic Park once again is very exciting. There are also a lot of familiar faces I’m looking forward to seeing.'
“It will be amazing to play at the stadium again in front of the incredible Celtic supporters. The Club was such a huge part of my career and also my life, so coming back and being able to play in front of the fans again feels a little surreal but it’s something I really can’t wait for.
"I haven’t actually laced up a pair of boots since I retired, though, so it should make for an interesting day!
“The prospect of facing Manchester United is also one that I am really looking forward to. I know a lot of the Bhoys played in the match down at Old Trafford and we’re hoping for another good performance at Celtic Park, though it won’t be easy, as they’ll have some great players.
"It’ll no doubt be a great occasion, with two footballing powerhouse Clubs coming together for a great cause.
“I’m sure, as always, that the Celtic supporters will come out in their numbers to get behind the match and it’s really important that they do so, as the funds raised will make a big difference to those most in need.
"The work that the Foundation do is phenomenal, so it’s a privilege to be involved and hopefully together we can raise lots of money.”
The Legends Charity Match promises to be a fantastic occasion for all the family and tickets are now available on general sale, priced at:
A range of Matchday Hospitality packages are available, starting at £42 per person. You can register your interest in these packages here or email matchdayhospitality@celticfc.co.uk
Funds raised through the match will focus on feeding people in need of our support, to reflect the heritage of the Club, primarily through the continuation and development of our Paradise Pit Stop project. Through the project, we provide a free warm meal and a selection of hot and soft drinks, four days a week, in a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming environment for individuals and families. Paradise Pit Stop is, however, about more than just food – it’s an inclusive space where people from some of Glasgow’s most vulnerable communities can access essential support services.
Our aim is to provide relief from food poverty and tackle the increasing issue of loneliness and isolation in our communities.
Thank you for your wonderful support.
