Today is considered ‘the decisive day’ in Serie A champions Napoli’s ongoing pursuit of Sevilla star Juanlu Sánchez.

That’s according to Italian transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, who has provided an insight into the latest on the talks between the two clubs.

The name of versatile defender Juanlu has of course emerged as a prominent one in the headlines surrounding Sevilla for several weeks now.

This comes amid the understanding that, amid the ongoing financial woes at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, a number of clubs have set their sights firmly on the signature of the 21-year-old.

Chief among them are the aforementioned Napoli, who consider Juanlu the ideal reinforcement to Antonio Conte’s squad.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then today could be the key day in the Partenopei’s pursuit.

As per a report from journalist Gianluca Di Marzio:

‘Napoli, today is the decisive day for Sevilla’s green light for Juanlu: awaiting the response from the Spanish club. Agents and player are pressing to get the yes.’
