Marcus Thuram has made the leap scoring-wise this season and rejoiced for his form and more in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I’m in a total groove at Inter thanks to those who surround me: my teammates, the coach, and the club. I don’t think about where I could arrive and don’t set limits for myself. There’s a lot I can improve on, for instance, headers or going faster. I feel I’m better than at the start of the season, and it will continue.”
Thuram dished on the relationship with his father.
“He was and still is key to me. When he says something, it’s worth two or three weeks of work compared to everybody else. Being the son of a famous footballer was a burden at first, and he prepared me for that. It wasn’t pleasing when I was a kid. My brother is stronger because he can learn from me and my father.”
Thuram addressed his €85M release clause.
“It’s a lofty sum. I want to say it clearly: I will never leave Inter just because of that given the relationships I have built here. The figure has been set, but I won’t be the only one making the call. If something arrives, there’ll always be a discussion with the club.”
Thuram commented on Lautaro Martinez.

We give each other something different. When we are afar due to international duties, we talk on the phone, maybe because we miss each other.”
