Raheem Sterling wants to remain in the Premier League – and London – as the winger looks to leave Chelsea this summer.

Sterling spent last season on loan at Arsenal but endured a difficult campaign with the Gunners.

He made just seven league starts for the North Londoners and failed to score a Premier League goal. Arsenal opted against making the loan permanent, leaving Sterling facing an uncertain future.

With less than two weeks remaining of the transfer window, the 30-year-old is yet to secure a move away from Chelsea.

His lack of form last season and high wages have proven problematic, while Sterling’s stance on his next club has also limited his options.

Flashscore are reporting that Sterling wants to remain in the Premier League and has turned down interest from abroad so far this summer. With young children who are settled in London, he does not want to relocate.

Fulham have been linked with a move to bring Sterling across West London, while both Crystal Palace and West Ham are potential options.

All three capital clubs are described as ‘realistic’ options for the 82-cap England international, though any deal will ‘hinge on how much Chelsea are prepared to subsidise’.
