FC Barcelona under Hansi Flick has been one of the best teams in Europe so far this season. Barring a couple of results in recent weeks, the German coach’s team has been scoring goals for fun, including the recent game against Brest in the Champions League.
However, there are a few players who haven’t performed at the levels expected of them. The likes of Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Frenkie de Jong have struggled to show the same kind of quality as some of their other teammates.
Now, as per Fichajes, these three players have been placed on the exit ramp by the club. Barcelona are still not out of their financial issues completely and selling these players could really help the club in the short and long term.

Despite having Hansi Flick’s trust, the player is slowly yet surely losing the trust of the fans. Since his return from the injury, barring an excellent second-half cameo against Real Madrid, his performances have been largely poor.
With his contract set to expire in 2026, he is yet to renew his deal and this is leading to a lot of uncertainty regarding his future. Thus, it will come as no surprise if the club chooses to cash in on him in the upcoming summer.
Since his move from Manchester City, no player has made fans pluck their hair out more than Ferran Torres has. His first six months at the club were sublime but his second season left a lot to be desired, with the player struggling for form.
He showed signs of recovering his form last season under Xavi Hernandez but an untimely injury saw him lose momentum. Since then, the Spaniard has not managed to show any kind of continuity and his inconsistency might eventually end up being the writing on the wall for his Barcelona career.
Arguably the most difficult one among the three names mentioned, Ansu Fati, unlike the other two players, is loved by Blaugrana fans. Every single fan out there is hoping against hope that the Spaniard can become the player he once showed he was capable of.
However, with every passing month, that hope is steadily diminishing. His body is letting him down time and again and he is currently on the sidelines, nursing an injury for the umpteenth time. Thus, the club might have no choice other than to let him leave next summer.
Should Fati and Ferran leave at the end of the season, then this would leave the club extremely light of options in attack. Thus, the club will have to dip into the market. Alternatively, they can choose to retain one of the two players and cash out on the other. Let’s wait and see how the club thinks going forward.
