Three players Barcelona are ready to part ways with in the next summer – report | OneFootball

While we are yet to reach the midpoint of the 2024/25 season, Barcelona are already planning their squad for the next campaign and are drawing up strategies for the summer transfer window of 2025.

As has already been reported, a new left-winger appears to be high on the wishlist, while Barça also intend to reinforce the full-back positions.

At the same time, there are likely to be some notable exits in the summer with the Catalans expected to get rid of stars who no longer play a big part in Hansi Flick’s scheme of things.

As such, Fichajes reports that Barcelona have identified three players who they have put on the list of departures for the summer window next year.

Frenkie de Jong

One of the club captains, Frenkie de Jong could be closing in on a departure from Barcelona due to his high wages, contract situation, and the depth in midfield.

Barça had tabled a renewal offer for the Dutchman last year itself but have received no response. With his contract expiring in 2026, the 27-year-old will be entering the final year of his deal in the summer and Barça will look to cash in.

However, if he does not accept a departure, it is not ruled out that Barcelona will look to terminate his contract and get rid of him rather than continue paying his high salary.

Ansu Fati

Having returned after a disappointing loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, Ansu Fati received another chance under Hansi Flick but failed to make the most of it before succumbing to yet another injury.

The La Masia forward has now had two injuries this season and finds himself well down the pecking order of things at Barcelona. Once deemed the heir to Lionel Messi, Fati’s decline has been sharp and disheartening to see.

A loan exit in January could be a possibility, but it is very likely that Barcelona will look to part ways with the young attacker permanently in the summer.

Ferran Torres

Ferran Torres has also failed to live up to expectations since his arrival from Manchester City. Although he has proven useful as a substitute, he has never reached the level necessary to compete for a starting spot.

With players such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha establishing themselves in attack and Barcelona looking to bring in another winger in the summer, the Spanish international’s continuity seems unlikely.
