Before then, though, there is the small matter of the Serie A title left to play for.

Inter sit in second place in the standings, three points behind Antonio Conte’s Napoli with three Serie A matches left to go in 2024-25.

The Nerazzurri still have tricky tests away against Torino on Sunday, against the Champions League-chasing Lazio and then away against Como on the final day of the season.

Which Inter players are expected to miss Torino?

According to Friday’s reports, Lautaro Martinez, who was a major fitness doubt ahead of the Champions League semi-final, is not expected to play against Torino in Serie A this weekend.

The Nerazzurri captain is expected to train individually over the next few days and is in line to return for the final league match of the season against Como according to Calciomercato.com.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also expected to be ruled out of the Torino match with a muscular complaint in his thigh, which will likely rule him out of training for the next three to four days. He should be targeting a return for the next Serie A match against Lazio, but may have to settle for Como on the final day depending on his recovery.

Davide Frattesi, who came on and scored the tie-winning goal against Barcelona, is also an injury doubt ahead of the Torino match on Sunday due to an issue with his abdomen. He will be re-assessed and could still potentially travel with the rest of the team for Sunday’s game.
