Thirty years without Andrea | OneFootball

It is difficult to explain what this day means to each of us.

For thirty years now, 25 April has been a day of remembrance for the Bianconero family. It is a day on which, dear Andrea, we cannot help but think of you even more so.

You taught us what it really meant to fight, on the pitch and, above all, in life.

On the field, you never gave up: on the left-hand flank you covered hundreds and hundreds of kilometres with the number 3 on your back. Your dedication led you to be Juventus' starting left-back at the age of 23, and to go on to make your debut in the national team.

Your dream, however, dear Andrea, was cut short all too soon by a cruel fate. A destiny that put you in front of a challenge that was too difficult, but you never lost hope and your strength of spirit, once again, confirmed the wonderful person you were: even in the most complicated moments, you were the one who used words of comfort with those who were always by your side, from your family to your teammates. You were the one who wanted to remain close to the team, in the most delicate moments of the season. The same team that wanted to dedicate the 1994/95 season Scudetto to you.

You have not been physically with us since 25 April 1995. We miss you terribly, as we always will, but today we all want to remember you with love, above all, we want to remember you with your wonderful smile, indelible in our memories.
