FC Barcelona have been trying to work on various transfer operations simultaneously this summer. After all, considering the limited market opportunities and strong opposition, it makes sense for the Catalan giants to do so. However, not every operation has been successful for Barcelona.

Initially, they pursued the signing of Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia and that was seen as their primary transfer objective. Ultimately, Barcelona managed to get that deal over the line and did so smoothly enough.

Since then, the club is yet to officially make another signing. The Nico Williams operations ended up with him signing an extension with Athletic Club, and the pursuit of Luis Diaz has been all over the place considering that he seems to have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich as well.

However, credible sources believe that Barcelona will end up signing Swedish winger Roony Bardghji soon as their second signing this summer. Interestingly, however, La Blaugrana managed to beat several clubs that were eyeing the player and did so with a relatively low transfer fee as well.

A special clause in the agreement

The reason this approach from Barcelona worked, as per the information provided by SPORT, was due to the existence of a special clause. Despite other clubs being interested in the 19-year-old winger, Barça ultimately emerged victorious thanks to the inclusion of a specific sell-on clause.

Reportedly, the deal involves a 15% sell-on clause that Barcelona will owe to FC Copenhagen if they decide to sell the winger in the future. However, before they even come to that conclusion or decision, the club will first look to assess the player.

The preseason tour awaits

As per recent reports, the club’s immediate plan is to involve the young winger in the Barcelona preseason tour under the guidance of Hansi Flick. Then, depending on how things proceed, the German coach could look to make more use of the young winger.

Apart from that, the plan remains to have him alternate between Barcelona Atletic and the first team. For now, however, the Catalan giants still have to make the transfer official first, but it seems likely that the announcement will arrive sooner or later.
