Juma Bah will reportedly spend the 25/26 season on loan at Ligue One side OGC Nice. It has seemed that the impressive young centre-back would leave Manchester City on loan for either Lyon or Nice. Now it seems that Bah has chosen Nice. That could be the ideal setting for Bah to further develop as a player based on the fact that Nice could potentially play Champions League football next season.

Juma Bah has reportedly chosen OGC Nice as where he play next season.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Juma Bah has chosen OGC Nice as the club where he will spend the 25/26 season. Furthermore, Romano reports that Bah had a choice between Lyon or Nice as to where he could play next season.

The hope is that Juma Bah can continue his development at Nice and return to Manchester City ready to make an impact.

After signing for Manchester City from Real Valladolid during the January transfer window, Juma Bah spent the second half of the 24/25 season on loan at Lens. Bah impressed at Lens and showed that he is one of the brightest young defensive prospects on Manchester City’s books. But another loan move for Juma Bah is the best move for his development. The young centre-back needs to be playing first team football to further grow as a player. He likely wouldn’t get that opportunity at Manchester City.

Playing at a club like Nice does provide Juma Bah with the setting he needs to play first team football on a regular basis. The Ligue One club also qualified for the third round qualifying phase of the UEFA Champions League. Nice finished fourth in Ligue One last season. If they can clinch a place in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, Juma Bah could have the opportunity to play Champions League football next season. If that scenario comes to fruition that would be ideal for Juma Bah’s development as a player.

Juma Bah now appears set to spend the 25/26 season out on loan at OGC Nice. If he can carry on his strong form that he displayed at Real Valladolid and Lens last season he should return to Manchester City as a player ready to make an impact as a first team player in the 26/27 season.
