The Coppa Italia is once again Bianconero, at the end of a beautiful, hard-fought and intense game in Rome.

The Juve that, a few days ago, left the Allianz Stadium with very few smiles, today comes out in tears, but of joy, at the Olimpico.

STRONG START

It was an incredible start to the game for Juve. Not five minutes had passed and the Bianconeri were ahead: Cambiaso's delighful ball picked out Vlahovic, who sprinted towards goal, fending off his marker before unleashing a right-footed shot at goal, making the Bianconeri side of the Olimpico explode.

The game burst to life, as Iling-Junior caused problems down the flank, winning a corner which Gatti so nearly put into the back of the net on 8 minutes, the pace on the ball catching him by surprise as he headed over the bar.

ATALANTA STILL IN IT

Were Atalanta down and out? Not a chance: in the 10th minute Lookman advances towards goal, and it takes a timely Danilo block to thwart the danger, the captain celebrating the block as if he had scored.

If you were looking for an entertaining final, you can't say it wasn't: Atalanta made ball possession its weapon of choice, but Juve stood strong, fighting for every ball while making Atalanta suffer. The second phase of the first half continued in the same fashion, with La Dea looking for space to strike and Juve responding with blow after blow, inspired by a brilliant Brazil backline of Bremer and Danilo.

KEEPING STRONG

In the second half, it was more of the same: Atalanta playing their game, as is logical given the score, with Juve keeping their organisation at the back. Lookman once again looked dangerous, going close with a shot from range, yet Juve was up for the fight, showing a great desire to fight for every single ball.

CHANCES ON BOTH ENDS

As the minutes passed, the Bianconeri's game plan proved more and more convincing: Atalanta began to drop physically, with Juve given space on the counter, especially with Vlahovic who continued to be a thorn in the side of the Nerazzurri defense. The Serbian made the Olimpico erupt by scoring with a super header off Cambiaso's perfect cross, but the VAR chalked it off. With that reprieve, Atalanta gave it their all in the closing stages, with still periodically trying to exploit the spaces that inevitably opened up.

In the 79th minute Atalanta hit the post with a decent strike from Lookman, but five minutes later Miretti's thunderbolt crashed off the crossbar as chances were spurned on both sides.

The game, for those who were not suffering like the Biaconeri faithful, was definitely entertaining, with the constant feeling that a decisive play was yet to come.

But the most beautiful sound, in the end, was the final whistle, which was eventually blown after six long minutes of added time.

And after three years, Juventus lifted the Cup once again: 15 times champions of the competition.
