This is it, the 10 matchdays and 19 Premier League games that will decide the Champions League qualifiers.

The title winners and three to be relegated already sorted.

So the only show in town is the one regarding which clubs qualify for the Champions League.

Fair to say that the broadcasters will be desperate for this to go down to the very final matchday of the season, when the five teams (Forest, Man City, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Villa) are all in action across four matches on Sunday 25 May.

However, before then, there are 15 games involving the Champions League hopefuls, spread across nine different matchdays.

All of these 19 games involving the Premier League clubs currently placed third to seventh are listed in order below.

This though is how the Premier League table currently stands for the five teams:

62 points Newcastle United (Played 34) GD +21

61 points Man City (Played 34) Goal Difference +23

60 points Chelsea (Played 34) GD +19

60 points Forest (Played 33) GD +14

57 points Villa (Played 34) GD +5

My conclusions – Some things to note

To be now two goals better off than Chelsea and seven better than Forest, could very well come into play when we get to that final day of the season.

For example, on the final day, it is impossible for both Forest and Chelsea to improve their GD as they play each other at the City Ground.

In general terms, I think if Newcastle United win their two home games against Chelsea and Everton, or the next two matches against Brighton away and Chelsea home, then NUFC will almost certainly qualify for Champions League at the end of the season.

If NUFC get six points then Villa have to win all four games to finish ahead of Eddie Howe’s side.

If Newcastle win the next two matches, or the two home games, Chelsea would then have to win all of their other three against Liverpool, Man U and Forest to get above United.

If Newcastle win against Chelsea and also win one of the other three matches, then if Chelsea won at the City Ground on the final day of the season, it would mean Forest having to get at least nine points from their other four games.

Of course, we all hope that Newcastle United do it in style and don’t need to be looking at results of other teams.

I think though that what I keep coming back to, what it pretty much all boils down to, is that if Newcastle win that home game against Chelsea, I can’t see United not taking one of the top five places.

Interesting as well that whilst Eddie Howe’s side have a full seven days between Brighton away and Chelsea home. Enzo Maresca’s side play their European semi-final second leg on the Thursday night (8 May) and then have the 12 noon kick-off at SJP on the Sunday (11 May).
