Chelsea are now apparently willing to listen to offers for a player who cost them £52m not long ago and has only made 30 Premier League appearances.

The Blues have signed a heck of a lot of new players over the last few seasons since the new owners came in to the club. They have certainly not been afraid to drop the cash on signing many new players.

But with signing quality new players comes problems, and the biggest one is how do you keep them all happy? Because they can’t all play every game, and some of them are only having to make do with player in cup games.

Enzo Maresca has a first team and a second string team, with the latter only being used for cup games. This will create some issues for players who feel they are good enough to be playing in the league games as well.

Christopher Nkunku is one of those players for sure, and the rumours have already started suggesting that he could leave, and more are now following.

Nkunku could be off

According to The Telegraph today, Nkunku is considering his future at Chelsea. Chelsea are understood to be willing to offers only if they can recoup his £52m transfer fee in full.

Nkunku only joined Chelsea for the 2023/24 season and that season he was plagued with injuries so barely had many chances to play.

This season he has been playing, but barely in the league. Nkunku only has 30 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, and already it sounds like they are willing to sell him.

He’s been playing second fiddle to the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson right now. Palmer plays in Nkunku’s best position, and Jackson rarely gets dropped or even taken off in league games. Nkunku also, is not a striker.
