Philippe Clement has named his Rangers team for this afternoon’s Glasgow Derby against Celtic. Rangers are fourteen points behind the Scottish Champions and go into this game without a win in the fixture since May 2023.
Rangers are without Jack Butland, James Tavernier and Leon Balogun, meaning a makeshift back four starts.
Former Motherwell & Livingston goalie Liam Kelly starts in goals with Butland out injured.
A back four consisting of Jefte, Robin Propper, Dujon Sterling and Ridvan Yilmaz will be tasked with stopping Celtic’s firepower in attack.
Mohamed Diomande and Nicolas Raskin start in the midfield, with Nedim Bajrami, Ianis Hagi, and Vaclav Cerny playing in support of striker Hamza Igamane.
Subs: Munn, Cortes, Barron, Dessers, Matondo, Dowell, King, Fraser & Danilo.
Meanwhile, Brendan has named his Celtic team with the manager looking to continue his excellent run in this fixture.
Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals.
A back four consists of Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston.
Callum McGregor captains the side with Paulo Bernardo and Reo Hatate. Arne Engels drops to the bench.
Kyogo starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the flanks.
Subs: Sinisalo, Trusty, Palma, Idah, Valle, Yang, McCowan, Engels and Ralston.
