The latest call-up for the Mexican national team has been made official ahead of September's FIFA Date, and Javier Aguirre has selected two players from the Rebaño Sagrado.

Ahead of the warm-up matches against Asian rivals, the mexican coach has called up Raúl Rangel and Roberto Alvarado, who will add another appearance for El Tri in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup.

Mexico will face Japan and South Korea in a doubleheader in September. First, they will face Japan on Saturday, September 6, at the Oakland Coliseum; then they will travel to Nashville to play South Korea at Geodis Park on Tuesday, September 9.

Both 'Tala' and 'Piojo' have played in all five of Guadalajara's games in the current 2025 Apertura, as part of the backbone of Gabriel Milito's team. Both Rojiblancos players have already had extensive experience with the national team, where they have become important pieces in 'Vasco' Aguirre's squad.
