Takarada to leave Leicester and return to Japan | OneFootball

Saori Takarada will leave Leicester City to rejoin former club Cerezo Osaka after the expiry of her contract.

The Foxes announced Takarada's departure on social media with the Japanese international set to return to the country after previous stints with Washington Spirit and Swedish side Linköping.

"It's been about four and a half years, but I will do my best to grow, focusing on winning, while passing on what I experienced overseas," Takarada said on about her return to the club.

"I also hope to be able to help in any way I can so that the people who come to watch us can enjoy themselves, and so that I can embody the Cerezo way of playing football and contribute to victory for the team. I hope you will give me lots of support this season!"

After joining the club midway through the 2023/24 season, Takarada played 43 games for Leicester City in total, chipping in with three goals and four assists.
