Roony Bardghji has been linked with a move to Barcelona for quite some time now, with many expecting the club to finalise the deal soon.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now offered a fresh update on Barça’s pursuit of Bardghji, who is expected to become a key long-term bet for the club.
As per Romano, Bardghji has completed the first part of his medical test at Barcelona, moving a step closer to joining the Catalans.
The Swedish talent is expected to join Barcelona on a €2 million deal from FC Copenhagen, which will be sealed soon.
Romano adds that formal steps would continue till next week, but there is a verbal agreement in place for Bardghji to join Barcelona.

Barcelona, for their part, are planning to fast-track Bardghji’s integration to the team, which is why they are expected to bring the youngster to the pre-season trip to Asia.
Indeed, Romano adds that Bardghji will fly with the first team for the Asian tour, training with some notable members of the team.
This is a call taken by Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco, both of whom highly believe in Bardghji’s potential to become a first-team asset.
However, it must be noted that Barcelona may not be able to complete the deal until next week, due to the formal documentation involved in the procedure.
Regardless of the timing of the deal, it will be interesting to see how Barcelona plan to integrate Bardghji into the setup and whether or not he is able to make an impression this summer.
