We’re into the final days of January, and Chelsea are really going to have to rush to get some of their most important deals done.
There’s been precious little movement in the last few weeks, and there are still countless figures with uncertain future. Chief among them are the 4 players wrapped up in potential deals with Everton.
Armando Broja is with the Toffees on loan, but has a season ending injury, and they want to terminate it. Chelsea will seemingly only agree to that if they take another player from the Blues to replace him.
Transfer expert Graeme Bailed has been speaking to the Chelsea Chronicle. and he explained which unwanted first teamers are top of the list to go:
“One of these players could go to Everton. We know Everton want to send Broja back because he’s injured, and in return they take a Chilwell, Dewsbury-Hall or Chukwuemeka. I still think there’s a strong possibility one of those three goes to Everton. A Chelsea player is likely to go to Everton, I believe. I think they would like that.”
Certainly we have all the cards here, and the Toffees can strengthen their squad before the deadline if they’re willing to play ball.

So which of the 3 is most likely to go? Chukwuemeka seems to have an opening coming up at our sister club Strasbourg, while Ben Chilwell has today been linked with Crystal Palace.
In a dream world for Chelsea, they recall Caleb Wiley from Strasbourg and send Chukwuemeka there, Palace agree a loan for Chilwell, clearing the way for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to go to Everton, with Broja recalled to recover from his latest injury at Cobham.
Sadly things never go quite that smoothly…
